February Adventures

February was a pretty great month. There was a lot that happened and more to look forward to. As I am trying to get my business off the ground things are starting to look pretty positive. I have a couple of clients and getting some great feedback on my website. I am still trying to come up with new ideas for marketing myself and some new product ideas.

Here is what I have been up to this month.

Starting off with some art. So this Demon girl sculpture broke before the first firing, we tried to fix it but it didn't take. I have to paint it now with acrylic paint and I am still trying to decide how I want to do it.

This is a sketch I did for the start of a painting I am working on. I am trying to us only Golden Open Acrylics on this painting.

A work in progress shot of the background.

I told the boyfriend before Christmas that I wanted to go to this show. I wasn't sure if he got the tickets. He surprised me one morning by putting the tickets in my computer. I was so excited to see them when I opened my computer.

I ordered some business cards for my business. I think they came out pretty neat, I added that soft touch coating to them.

Here is a picture of the Tall Witch completed. I gave this to my sister for her birthday, because it made me think of her. You can read more about that here.

A couple pictures of new ceramics that have been bisque fired. I need to get these glazed so they can get fired again.

This is from the night of the Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band Show. It was at our local winery Endless Summer Winery. I love this place! A great picture of the sunsetting just before the show with the vines starting to grow in the background.

The boyfriend wore his special Batman cufflinks.

This is the band Dreams: A Crystal Vision of Fleetwood Mac. They were great and sounded so close to the original members. Such a wonderful show!

This is our favorite wine from the winery. The boyfriend and I don't agree on a lot of drinks but this is one we both like.

The next weekend my sister came in to Orlando for a nursing conference. I drove up there to see her and we went and saw our Mom, who is still in a minimal state at a nursing home. That morning before we went I took this picture of the sky and noticed the heart cut out from the clouds.

Sister selfie with the heart between us!

That night my sister and a couple of the nurses she knew asked if I would take them to Downtown Disney. I had never been down there so I was excited to take everybody.

My sister and friend!

I didn't even realize we had a Morimoto Restaurant so close to us. I told the boyfriend this needs to be our anniversary dinner.

The next morning sun rise. My sister had to head home and I went and spent a little more time with Mom before I drove back home myself.

One thing I am proud of is I finally finished book 5 of the Outlander series, The Fiery Cross. While I am still enjoying reading and following Claire, Jamie, and family this book was a bit slow and seemed to drag on. It focused so much on their everyday mundane life that I was close to giving up on it. I pushed on and there was some excitement and clarification on a few of the storylines. I am taking a bit of a break from this series and should get back to it soon.

I am looking forward to March and keeping busy. This is my birthday month and St. Patrick's Day so there should be a lot of fun to look forward to. If you would like to see my work in progress pictures you can follow me on Instagram and Facebook
