I was finally able to take a night and work on Tinkerbell again. I am starting to like the way it is coming out. I might just be getting used to how these acrylic paints work.
New Logo Design
I do not have a Work In Progress of Tinkerbell yet again, for the second week in a row. Life just seems to get in the way. My Brother left for New York this evening. He stopped by my job and we had dinner together before he got on the road. So by the time I got home it was to late to get started on the painting. I will try again next week.
I have been working on a redesign for a logo, and background for the blog. I thought I would show what I came up with for the logo and see what everybody thinks. I have a really hard time designing anything for myself. I feel like it needs something else and can't figure it out yet. Any suggestions???
Weekly Adventures
Here we are again and I missed last week. Not to much exciting has happened in the last two weeks. Of course work has been crazy and I have been putting in a bit of overtime.
I was poking around on Pinterest about taking better photos with your iPhone and found some apps that people recommended. So I have been playing with those.
Memorial Day weekend, we cleaned up my backyard. We pulled out all my flower beds because they were so overgrown and the weeds had just taken over. When I bought the house I didn't like the stone edgers that were there anyways. I was trying to wait until I could afford to replace them, but decided to just pull them all out and start fresh. I was sore for a week from bending over and lifting those stones.
Last Wednesday I came home from work and was just exhausted. It was the first time in awhile that I didn't come home and paint. That is why there wasn't an update on the progress of TinkerBell. I plan on picking it back up this coming Wednesday.
Books: I read Charlaine Harris's last Sookie Stackhouse book called Dead Ever After. These are the books that the show TrueBlood is based from. I know everybody is going to say I am crazy but I have never seen an episode of TrueBlood. I have read all the books now. A lot of people gave this book a bad review. I don't want to spoil it for anybody, but I think it's just because it didn't turn out like everybody had hoped. For me the ending was perfect and exactly the way I think it should have. I say Good Job to Charlaine for writing the story the way she saw it, and not the way the fans wanted it.
TV: I still don't think there is much worth watching on the TV right now. Although I do enjoy watching The Big Bang Theory reruns. There is a show I am looking forward to that starts at the end of the month. Under the Dome starts Monday, June 24th on CBS at 10pm. This is based off a Stephen King book, which I picked up and I am now reading. When I picked up this book I was shocked at how big it was, a whopping 1074 pages.
Movies: I had gone and seen this movie at the theater, and it came out on DVD last week. It's Mama, I thought it was quite creepy. Although I usually think anything with kids and some kind of supernatural ends up a bit creepy.

Music: I figured I go a little Old School! My Favorite Band when I was in High School, and I had one wall dedicated to just posters of them, is Faith No More. I was so in love with Mike Patton.

Weekly Adventures!
I know it's been a few weeks. I have been having a hard time dealing with Mother's Day and Mom's Birthday this past weekend. I am just trying to push through day by day!
Here are few things I would like to share from the past few weeks:

The boyfriend and I a few weeks ago decided to go get gelato down at the marina a few weeks ago. I had never had gelato before, it was really yummy! I got a scoop of blueberry and a scoop of chocolate. While we walked around a fishing boat had just got back and a guy was cutting up some o the fish. He was throwing the skin and pieces back in the water and we were watching these pelicans fight over it.
We also celebrated the anniversary of when we first started dating. We have had our issues but he is still my best friend. I love him but he drives me crazy at the same time. We ended up going to Carrabba's for dinner, then after we went to this neat little bar and had a couple glasses of wine. I am realizing I like the white wines better.
For some reason I still enjoy taking pictures of the sky every once in a while. Here is a neat shot I got driving home from work one day. I love the way the Sun's rays shine through the clouds.
Books: I finally finished the Beautiful Creatures series. I liked the first and last book the best, the other two just seemed to drag on a bit. I started reading a book called Loki's Wolves and finished that this past Sunday. This is considered a kids book, but the story was great. I love books with great adventures in it. I am such a Harry Potter geek. This book was about Norse Mythology, and I don't really know a lot about this subject. The book is written by Kelley Armstrong and Melissa Marr. Melissa Marr is by far one of my favorite authors, and now I am going to have to check out Kelley Armstrong's work. I just started Charlaine Harris's last Sookie book, Dead Ever After.

Taco Soup! I kind of combined a couple recipes. It's more like a chili consistency with a Taco flavor to it.
I made a couple other recipes and didn't take pictures of them. I have been following a blog called Skinny Taste because I need to learn to cook a bit healthier. Check out her Blog, I have made a few of her recipes and they are really yummy. I have made the Asian Glazed Drumsticks, and a couple of the Baked Oatmeal recipes. The Taco Soup pictured above was part recipe from this blog also.
I was craving cupcakes and didn't want to make a whole batch. I got on Pinterest and searched for Cupcake for Two recipes. I found a couple and decided to try this one. This is an eggless recipe, the cake was great but a little dry. I might have mixed it to much, but I might try a different recipe with egg in it next time.
Music: I thought I would share another new artist to me. I really like Gotye's sound and the creepiness of the videos. The song is also fitting for the way I have been feeling lately!
